KONZA electronically connects ALL health information exchanges in Kansas and Missouri

KONZA is pleased to announce new network connections in Kansas and Missouri which complete the health information exchange network in the two states. As of June 2, KONZA has connected its Kansas Health Information Network (KHIN) and SHINE of Missouri health information exchanges to Midwest Health Connection (formerly Missouri Health Connection), Louis and Clark Health Information Exchange (LACIE), and Tiger Institute for Health Innovation, representing all exchanges in Kansas and Missouri.

With these connections to the regional health information networks, a more comprehensive patient medical history is available for healthcare providers across the states. As patients move across state lines for medical care their medical records will follow them. The electronic exchange of medical records will help thousands of providers know more about the patients they care for and offer better care across both states.

“We have been working towards this goal for 10 years” said Dr. Laura McCrary, President & CEO for KONZA. “This demonstrates the commitment of the Kansas and Missouri health information exchanges to ensure the seamless exchange of patient medical information for patient treatment.”
